LoMasTv really is a smorgasbord of supplemental material. The breadth of the topics of the videos is very wide. Native Spanish speakers from South America, Spain, Central America, Mexico and even some from the United States talk on an assortment of topics. They talk about photography, various Spanish accents, archaeology, and even various vocabulary words.

Audio:  

LoMasTv does not offer interactivity, neither written nor oral, but the videos offer students the ability to repeat what has been said and students can slow the speed of the speaker down. In addition, LoMasTv gives the translations of what has been said in Spanish and in English.

Students will definitely better their listening ability with LoMasTv, and it's likely that they'll be able to work on pronunciation and speaking skills as well.

Tutoring:  

In the LoMasTv program, students do not have access to tutors, but they do recommend that their students go to Web Spanish to get one-on-one tutoring. Using both of these products (LoMasTv and Web Spanish) would definitely give a student a great start in the Spanish language.

LoMasTv definitely has enough variation in the topics and the speakers making the videos so that students will become familiar with a multitude of dialects.

Learning Options:  

In LoMasTv, students have a plethora of learning options. They can use the grammar lessons that are presented in video and they can learn from many different cultural options from the various Spanish speakers.

Levels Available/Scope:  

Although LoMasTv doesn't claim to provide the basics of Spanish, grammar lessons are provided. In fact, they have almost two hundred lessons, meaning they really do cater to the false beginner.

However, many of the language lessons would be interesting to anyone regardless of their level in Spanish since they may explain how a certain word is used in a certain country. For instance, they even cover some of the words that are very innocent in one country, but can be very colorful in another.

LoMasTv is a breath of fresh air. The site just looks like it would be fun and watching the videos really is. Of course, you'll need to go through the  more than 400 videos and choose the ones that appeal to you and that's not hard since they really run the gamut.

LoMasTv doesn't pretend to be something it's not. It's for someone who has a good base in Spanish and is looking to have fun and brush up at the same time.
